  [시사뷰타임즈] 미국 부통령 커맬러 해리스가 목요일 비무장지대 (DMZ) 에 가 있는 동안, 실수로, 미국-북한 간의 강력한 동맹관계를 칭송했다.
  
  
  해리스는 “미국은 북한 공화국과 동맹관계라는 아주 중요한 관계를 공유하고 있다.” 라고 했는데, 공식 명칭은 ‘남쪽 한국’ 이라는 말을 ‘북 공화국’ 으로 잘못 거명한 것이었다.
  
  
  해리스는 이어, 이번에는 한국의 국명을 제대로 거명하면서 “미국의 한국 국방에 대한 약속은 충분히 말할 수 없을 정도의 철갑이다.” 라고 했다. 그러면서, “북한에는, 잔인한 독재, 걷잡을 수 없는 인권 위반 그리고 평화와 안정을 위협하는 불법적인 무기 프로그램 등이 있다.” 고 덧붙였다.
  
  
  해리스는 DMZ에 가 있는 동안 연설을 했는데, 이곳은 1953년 휴전협정으로 한국동란이 종결된 뒤 남과 북을 가르는 중무장 요새화된 분리선이다. 한반도의 긴장은, 평양이 5년 만에 첫 번 째 핵실험 준비를 강화하고 있다는 경고를 미국 관계자들이 한 뒤, 2017년 이후 처음으로 미국 항공모함이 한국에 도착하면서 최근 고조됐다.
  
  
  북한은 수요일, 동해 쪽으로 탄도 미사일 2기를 발사했고, 해리스가 워싱튼을 향해 떠난 직후 또 다른 2기를 발사했다고 한국군이 말했다. 이번 주 초에도 미사일 1기가 발사됐다.
  
  
  미국은 한국에 병사 28,000명 정도를 주둔시키고 있는데, 북한은 미군 병사들과 한국 병사들이 동참하는 여러 훈련들을 “도발행위들” 이자 침공을 위한 예행연습이라고 본다.

  US Vice President Kamala Harris praised the “strong alliance” between the US and North Korea during a visit to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on Thursday in a gaffe.
  
  
  
  “The United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance, with the Republic of North Korea,” Harris said, misnaming the Republic of Korea, which is the official name of South Korea.
  
  
  
  Harris continued, this time naming the country correctly. "I cannot state enough that the commitment of the United States to the defense of the Republic of Korea is iron-clad,” she said, adding that “In the North, we see a brutal dictatorship, rampant human rights violations and an unlawful weapons program that threatens peace and stability.”
  
  
  
  Harris delivered her speech while on a visit to the DMZ, the heavily-fortified demarcation line that has divided the North and South since the Korean War ended with an armistice agreement in 1953. Tensions on the Korean Peninsula have risen in recent months, with a US aircraft carrier arriving in South Korea for military exercises last week for the first time since 2017, after US officials warned that Pyongyang is gearing up for its first nuclear test in five years.
  
  
  
  The North launched two ballistic missiles into its eastern waters on Wednesday, and another two on Thursday shortly after Harris’s plane departed for Washington, South Korea’s military said. A single missile was also launched earlier this week.
  
  
  
  The US keeps around 28,000 troops stationed in South Korea, and the North views drills involving these troops and their South Korean counterparts as “provocations” and rehearsals for invasion.

  [시사뷰타임즈] 인도의 한 복권 당첨자는 재정적으로 도와달라는 요청에 너무도 압도되어 자신에게 노다지가 터진게 유감스럽다고 했다.
  
  
  
  인도 남부 도시 케랄라의 자동차 운전기사인 아눞은 9월 초, 주 정부 복권으로 2억5천만 루피 (39억7천8백만원) 에 당첨됐다.
  
  
  
  그러나 일주일 뒤, 그는 생면부지의 사람들에게 자신과 가족들을 성가시키 하지 말아달라고 요청하는 영상을 하나 올렸다.
  
  
  
  그는 “난 내가 당첨이 되지 않았다면 얼마나 좋을까” 한다면서 “3등이 훨씬 더 좋았을 수도 있었다.” 고 했다.
  
  
  
  아눞은 영상에서 이 압도적인 대중들의 관심을 벗어나기 위해 이사를 숙고 중이라고 말한다.
  
  
  
  그는 이 상금에 당첨됐을 때, 범국가적 머릿기사에 등장해 왔었는데, 이 나라 복권 당첨금으로 제공된 것중 가장 큰 액수였다.
  
  
  
  그는 자기 아들의 돼지저금통을 깨뜨린 돈으로 9월17일 -일자리를 구하러 멀레이셔 (말레이시아) 로 날아가기로 돼있는 날 하루 전- 복권을 구입했다.
  
  
  
  그가 당첨됐다는 소식이 터져 나오자, 그의 가족들은 언론들의 많은 관심을 받았다.
  
  
  
  그는 자신이 올린 최근 영상에서 “내가 당첨됐을 때 난 기쁨에 넘쳤었다.” 고 하면서 “우리 집 앞에는 사람들과 사진기들이 있었으며 우린 기뻤었다.” 고 했다.
  
  
  
  그러나 상황은 곧 통제불능이 됐다고 그는 말한다.
  
  
  
  “난 집에저 나갈 수도 없다.어느 곳도 갈 수가 없다. 내 자식은 아픈데 얘를 의사에게 데리고 갈 수도 없다.”
  
  
  
  정부 세금을 제외하고 1억5천 만 루피 -당첨액의 2/3 정도- 를 받은 아눞은 매일 아침 사람들이 자신의 집에 당도하기 시작하고 있다고 말한다.
  
  
  
  그는 “내가 모든 이에게 말할 수 있는 것이라고는 난 아직 땡전 한 푼도 받읁게 없다는 것이다. 내가 제아무리 많이 이야기를 해도, 내 문제를 이해하는 사람은 아무도 없는 듯하다.” 고 말한다.
  
  
  
  아눞은 자신과 가족들이 이 관심을 피하려고 친척들의 집에 머물고 있는 중이라고 말한다.
  
  
  
  주 정부는 아눞이 이 돈을 잘 쓸 수 있도록 돕기 위해 그를 위해 1일 재정 프로그램을 마련할 것이라고 했다.

  An Indian lottery winner has said he is so overwhelmed with requests for financial help that he regrets getting the jackpot.
  
  
  
  Anoop, an auto driver from the southern state of Kerala, had won 250mn rupees ($3.06m, £2.9m) in a state government lottery earlier in September.
  
  
  
  But a week later, he posted a video requesting strangers to stop bothering him and his family.
  
  
  
  "I wish I hadn't won," he says. "The third prize may have been better."
  
  
  
  Anoop says in the video that he is considering moving houses to escape the overwhelming public attention.
  
  
  
  He had made national headlines when he won the prize, the highest ever offered in the state for a lottery.
  
  
  
  He bought the ticket on 17 September - a day before he was supposed to fly to Malaysia for a job - after breaking open his son's piggybank.
  
  
  
  After news broke of his win, his family received a lot of media attention.
  
  
  
  "I was overjoyed when I won," he says in his recent video. "There were people and cameras at the house and we were happy."
  
  
  
  But the situation soon got out of control, he says.
  
  
  
  "I can't leave the house, I can't go anywhere. My child is ill and I can't take him to the doctor."
  
  
  
  Anoop - who will receive 150mn rupees after government taxes - says people begin arriving at his house every morning.
  
  
  
  "All I can tell everyone is that I haven't gotten any money yet. No-one seems to understand my problem, no matter how many times I say it," he says.
  
  
  
  Anoop says he and his family have been staying with relatives to escape the attention.
  
  
  
  The state government has said it will arrange a day's training programme for Anoop on financial management to help him use the money well.
